Pre-Civil War History With Modern Conveniences

It started as our dream of buying an old farmhouse on 2 acres. Eleven years later, after raising our family of four in the burbs we purchased an additional 12 acre parcel and crammed ourselves into the tiny 3/1 farmhouse while we renovated. Whenever our friends and family visited they felt so connected to the land and wanted to spend more time there. We knew then that this space is meant for something more. The land holds the energy of celebration and connection that brings people’s hearts and minds together in the spirit of community.

On the property was an old, beautiful barn in shambles. The roof was caved in, the floors were crumbling and it posed a safety hazard for our family with young boys running around the farm. Instead of tearing it down, we envisioned renovating it as the central hub for community on the farm. In 2017 we began the process, carefully selecting trees from the land and milling them to be used for the barn. All the siding (in addition to other elements of the barn) is from trees grown on our property.
